How can it be so cold !

It was way too cold and windy here - right now it's 20 below zero wind chill so I can't imagine how cold it will be overnight.  Of course, Thor and Marco Polo didn't care, they wanted to spend the day outside playing!  Mom is hoping for warmer weather soon.  Have a great week!

Where did the week go?

Mom is working way too hard at work and we haven't been able to visit our friend's blogs but she made this picture for the blog and promises to visit everyone's blog before she goes to bed!

Where did the Weekend and Snow go?

Mom has been working too hard all week to upload our pictures until now. That's ok, she was just happy to still have a job after her company laid off 550 employees this week. Here we are enjoying the snow before it all melted yesterday.

See all of the Canadian Geese. Thor and I made sure they all got their daily bath after chasing them into the pond.

Some of them flew right over my head. If I hadn't been on leash, I could have had one.

See the Deer, Mom wouldn't let us chase them very hard into the woods, Darn it!

They jumped over this little creek and Mom said No Way!

Mom did stop working long enough to make us some pretty snow pictures.

Thor snow plows so he always has lots of snow on his face for pictures. The snow melted yesterday, it was 50 degrees and muddy this morning but now it's very cold, we are happy, Mom isn't!.

Are you seeing the 8 inches of snow? Nope, all we got was lots of ice ! Bummer, but finally today Mom did take us for a walk on the ice! Here we are practicing "being Good Dogs" Mom makes us sit quietly or it's no walk for us!

At least we still have snow on the ground and we enjoy playing in it!.

Yup - it was a beautiful day to be outside,checking out all of the smells!

What mom really did yesterday

This is our Mom's friend, Cindy and her Golden Crew. There's Jonny, Soleil, Jorgy, Ace and Keeper.  Mom came home with Golden smells all over her because she took Christmas pictures.  She put this Xmas tree in the picture with photoshop!!! 

We did get new bones so she is forgiven! 

We spent most of the afternoon, trying to get the good stuff out of them.

She did play with us out on the snow- We are going to get 8 more inches tonight! Yahoo.

We are catching snowball here.

The kids visit Barnes and Noble Book Store

Drake University and their Literacy Department has a one day event at Barnes and Noble Book Store, where you could read books to Therapy Books, Get your books Gift-wrapped, donate money to this awesome cause or just pet the pretty Therapy Dogs.  Did you know how many adults can not read?  It's 1 out of every 5 adults!  This departments volunteers to teach folks how to read and Thor and Marco Polo got to entertain everyone at the book store for 2 hours.  Here's some of our new friends!.

We Love Snow!!!

We are so so happy here in Iowa. It started snowing yesterday and hasn't really stopped today. Of course, Mom said they said a dusting but you can see from the pictures, it's pretty darn cool.  We hope you enjoy the snow pictures and the video of Thor doing his happy Dance(Snow Zoomies).    Thor and Marco Polo
