Saturday with our Best Friends

A perfect day to take a walk with our best friends. Here's Taylor walking at Big Creek State Park with Thor and Me (Marco Polo). Taylor is our sister's fur-kid boy.

Here's the Princess Whisper. She sometimes needs a little ride during our long 6 mile walk - Are these wheels cool or what!

Then, Mom tried to make us look all cute for a picture but I decided to chew on Taylor!

WATER WATER - Everywhere Water - I have never gone in to the lake before Ever! But it's really really fun!

Here the little Princess got out and decided to cool off her little feet in the water!

I even Fetch? Mom calls me a retriever!!

Not only do I retrieve - I actually bring the stick back to MOM!

Of course, Taylor has to copy me and bring the stick back too. Not Fair - His mom lets him go into the deep water and takes him off the leash - Mom would never do that with me!

I couldn't believe it- Thor actually got the stick ONE Time only ! He said he's not a retriever!

Meet our newest friend. She' s just a baby girl from Missouri Valley, Iowa

This is our dear Friend Floppy. A wonderful Pup that was on TV for years and years and the kids all loved him. This memorial is in front of the grandstand at the Iowa State Fair.

She belongs to our Friend Jeanne Paillot and we like her! We got to play with her all weekend at the show grounds.

We had a Prison Escapee Today

Well, this morning Mom had the day all planned, work a little bit from home, long walk with us, Visit the hospital with the us, update our blog! But I was just standing near the fence by the neighbor's backyard watching that darn squirrel that is teasing Marco and Me and the fence opened up and there I was in the next door's backyard. Luckily for me, the neighbor lady locked her fence gate but Mom didn't have a clue. She called us and I would have come but I can't jump a 6 foot fence, Marco went inside and Mom started hunting for me. Of course, she couldn't see me and panicked. She ran outside in the front calling for me and the neighbor was leaving in her car and said I was in her backyard. Mom was so relieved to see me and took me home but now she said we really are in prison and we can't run in the big yard unless she is watching. She took out the big drill and fixed the fence, I don't see the big deal! Sigh, Thor.

Over the weekend, we had the big dog show near our house. I got in trouble again because I thought sits and downs were silly and I got up and went to MOM. But don't I look good in this picture.

Here I am doing the figure 8. I was perfect until the sits, Mom was a little bit mad at me. I guess I would have had 2nd place and a big ribbon but for the sit. Who needs Ribbons - I needed to be near my Mom.

Marco Polo was quite beautiful and a very good gentlemen all weekend but he didn't come home with any ribbons, I don't know why, he is pretty darn cute, don't you think?

The Judge was laughing with Mom in this picture because Marco Polo dived for some food while gaiting around the ring. Poor Marco Polo didn't get the food because the judge threw it out of the ring!

Fall came to Iowa - Pupper are happy

It's cold in Iowa - We don't know what happened because Monday it was almost 90 degrees and since there it got cold.  Mom is closing windows but Thor and I are really enjoying the cool weather.  Here I am outside playing with my Wubba! 

Mom promised Mama a collar and leash so she could go outside but it might be too cold for the old kitty-Kat, I think. Signed MP

Thor said it was just fine to stay inside out of the rain from the hurricane.

Or course, the Kitty-Kats are laying together trying to stay warm.  Mom said everyone but ME(MP) was sleeping in bed with her last night!  That's not Fair!

Tonight I'm going to sneak in the bed with MOM!!!  MP 

Boys still asleep & MrSippi looking for flowers for Huffle

MrSippi is thinking about taking Mom's Roses to send to Huffle?  He is checking to see if they smell good enough for his girlfriend.

Laboring on Labor Day

What is this?  Thor and Marco are down for the count.  After a long 6 1/2 mile walk this morning, I guess they thought a nap was in order.  I'm sure they will wake up later!  

Morning Glories - we didn't know they came in so many colors.  Such a great spot for laying in the wet grass.

We hope everyone enjoys this beautiful day and we hope the Hurricane leaves New Orleans and the rest of the area quickly.

Weekend in Iowa

It's been a great weekend and it's not over yet. Yesterday Marco Polo got to go to a dog show and got another championship point, taking winner's dog and Best Opposite Sex. Here we are at the flower garden at the fairgrounds this morning. Mom doesn't let us water the flowers, darn it!.

We also visited the kid's garden area and found this little building with windows!

Here's another one of us at the flower garden - they made a bench around this tree just for us to sit on.

We found this cool pond but Mom absolutely refused to let us go swimming or wading.

Look what we found - we looked forever for Captain Maverick - He must be here but we couldn't find him anywhere.

Thor visits the Retirement Center

Well, today was a fun day because Mom took the day off and I got to visit the old folks at a retirement center but first we had a 4 mile walk to make me tired(didn't work, did it, MOM). I also chased a rabbit into the bush and look at the stickies on me!!! 

Marco Polo got stickies on him but he tried to rub them off on the grass, he's so silly. 

Here's some of the other dogs that got to come with me, We had Golden Retrievers, Flat-coat Retriever, Boxers,  a Great Dane, Papillion, an Airedale and of course, Me, the beautiful Siberian Husky.  Mom got all of the stickies off of me!!

This Man was in love with me and petted me a lot. 

Kisses for my dear sweet little lady.  

They loved me when I gave them kisses on the lip and one lady had cookies for me. 

Here's another sweet lady that thought I was the most beautiful boy! 

Cookies, Cookies - Mom didn't think it was nice when I jumped up and grabbed my bag of frosted cookies off of this table!!!
