Wednesday Walk in downtown Des Moines

Hello Our Friends, It's Thor and Marco Polo, we just got
home from downtown Des Moines where the flood waters have finally gone down and we can walk on the RiverWalk. Here we are at the cabin marking the birth place for Fort Des Moines. We don't know what that really means except Mom takes our picture. You can see we are making sure we don't look at her!!!

Here's the Iowa Cubs Stadium, you probably saw this on the news completely surrounded with flood waters. See the remaining sand bags?

Here's a look at the stadium from the bridge - Mom said it was under water too.
Marco Polo and I love to play in the prairie grasses and flowers. I think I saw a bunny.

Is anyone missing their picnic table? We found it for you! Do you see it stuck under the bridge?

We are on the bridge checking out all of the trees, branches and picnic tables stuck under it.

Good Job, never, never look at Mom when she takes our picture.
After a 5 mile walk and it's very very hot, Mom found this water spray for us, I guess she's not too bad, it felt so good cold water to drink and mist on us.
Now it's time to wipe off the water on this nice green grass.
Marco really loves wet grass, He likes to wiggle all over, slipping around getting the water off.

Did you pounce on that water sprinkler? I love to do that! Marco, you look like you're smiling in that last picture! :)

When Thor rolls around on the grass, does he turn green? I get green paws after Dad mows. I'd like to see Green Thor!

Well, at least all that flood water left things pretty green. And that background of green velvet just makes woo two look even more gorgeous!!

You're great tour guides. Momma actually recognized a few places even though she rarely gets out of West Des Moines when she's there.

Sibes make great tour guides! Thanks for a pictures of the formerly under water areas. That pic of the debris under the bridge is something. I'll bet there's some cool scents left.
